Letterpress printing is the oldest printing method. Letterpress printing means to print directly with the printing plate onto the print substrate. The embossed convex motive parts of the printing plate do print. The non-image areas are hollowed out. All embossed image areas are inked and transfer the motive directly to the print substrate.
Letterpress printing is perfect for simple motives when using one or two colours, the use of up to four colours is possible. Roll labels made from synthetics or paper can be produced in letterpress printing, especially for small- to medium-quantity impressions. Letterpress printing labels are used in all sectors, among others indoor inspection plates.
